So with this being my topic of the day What is MY DREAM JOB?
I had the so called "dream job" of being a SAHM for about 2 horrible years. While the mom part wasn't the bad part being the wife of an alchoholic was horrendous a nightmare in itself. I would never wish those years I lived on anyone. While I miss the SAHM life soo much now being gone not by choice over 50hrs a week all of during which my kids are awake is the hardest job.
I can fantasize all I want about being a SAHM again but in reality I was going insane being so isolated. Of course that was also situational due to living on post and not being allowed to socialize but also needing other adult interaction that does not have to do with the kids. My ex did not want me to know anyone and restricted me from knowing any of his friends maybe in fear I would cheat on him? I guess saying I DO wasnt enough to build his confidence.
So basically I have figured out my dream job/life is to work part-time essentially my own buisness with flexible hours in which I might fit a 40hr workweek and not even realize it, I want to give other moms the same freedom and rights like being able to bring your baby to work until they are 6 months or crawling. Sure it may even have something to do with children in the afternoon. But I want to be the mom who has a hot breakfast with her kids before they get on the bus to school and be there waiting with a snack when they get home before we run off to soccer , dance or karate practice, and help with their homework. I don't want my kids to be latchkey kids in gradeschool or even worse middleschool when they might even start acting out lol I do have two girls who think they are 16 already and sometimes wonder if I got married again someday would I have another? Would I give being a part-time sahm a chance again? I really think I would but it would be a totally different life than the first time. Maybe then I would be able to enjoy being a mother. Working parttime by choice not being a fulltime mom, employee and student all at once.

Took the Words ...
Right out of my mouth. Not to be plageristic if thats even a word this is an awesome article I read on mommytrackd.com and helped me make some sense of what the new First Lady Michelle Obama's job will be. Cnn in my opinion is making her out to be a glamourized housewife all about what designers will she wear. This article doesn't really give me the background information I will be researching when I have some freetime.
"Imagine this: your husband is offered his dream job. And I’m talking dream job, not just a better job, or more money, but a real, honest-to-goodness, this-is-all-I’ve-ever-wanted Dream Job. Of course, you’re going to have to move to a new city, but the company will provide you with a beautiful house to live in. Your children will have to change schools, but no worries, the company will make sure that they’re admitted to the private school of your choosing. Your husband is going to have to work pretty much all the time, but he’ll get to work from home, which is a bonus. The company will also provide your family with a personal chef, a driver, and a bunch of people to help take care of your errands and every day needs. And, oh, there’s just one more thing. You have to quit your job, and you can’t get another one. In fact, your husband is going to be so important to the company that you’re going to have a lot of clients coming to visit, and were kind of going to need you to entertain them. And their wives. And sorry, but you know, we hired him, not you, so, we can’t really pay you anything for doing it. Although, if you’re passionate about something and you want to do some non-profit work on the side, that’s totally cool. In fact, we encourage it. It really helps with our image. We’ll even let you use one of our private jets.
If any of this sounds familiar, it should, because the company is America, the dream job is President of the United States, and the wife in question is the First Lady. It sounds pretty antiquated, don’t you think? Very pre-suffragist, pre-Title IX, pre-NOW. I thought so, at first. I was all set to go on a tirade against the indentured servitude, the downright slavery that is First Ladydom. But as I’ve sat here for the last several hours, contemplating this post, my opinion has completely changed. I don’t think the role of First Lady is old-fashioned at all. If anything, I think it’s totally, utterly modern. So modern, in fact, it’s almost post-modern.
Technically, the First Lady has no official duties. She’s not required by law to host state dinners, or to pick out china patterns. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say that the First Lady must charm foreign dignitaries, or visit sick children in hospitals. But she can’t really work outside the White House, either. It’s not an explicit ban, but the potential for conflicts of interest is just too great, and I think we can all agree that no employer of any kind should have that much influence with the President, whether real or perceived. So while it’s not fair that a First Lady can’t work in the private sector, it does make sense, and it’s not a double standard, either. Just look at what Bill Clinton had to go through in order for Hillary to be named Secretary of State. And he’s doing charity work.
As for the unpaid nature of the role – again, it’s unfair, but there is a logic to it. First Ladies are not elected, nor are they appointed and then confirmed by the Senate. They’re not accountable to anyone for their actions, and they can’t be fired, or impeached. It’s not like anyone could tell the First Lady that she’s not allowed to be married to the President anymore. The fact is, First Ladies are like arms or legs – they come with the Head, whether we like them or not. And as such, they shouldn’t be given a salary that is, after all, funded by tax-payers. There’s no question that First Ladies do valuable work, but let’s face it: you wouldn’t pay someone if you couldn’t also fire them and choose someone else for the job, would you?
And what about the job itself? It is a job, there’s no question about that. It’s not like the First Lady sits around the White House eating bon-bons all day, if you know what I mean. Like the Constitution, what’s so interesting about the role of the First Lady is that it is a totally flexible organism. By not enumerating official duties for the President’s wife, America’s founders left her role open to interpretation. And as we’ve seen in the most recent two presidencies, that role can contract or expand, depending on the interests and ambitions of the woman who fills it. Which is, when you think about, really quite modern.
I mean, isn’t that what all of us want? The choice to work hard when we can, or to stay home when we’re needed there? Isn’t that the holy grail of working motherhood? To go in and out of the work force at will, when it makes sense for us and for our families? Michelle Obama has said that for now, she want to restrict her role to “mom in chief.” But she might feel differently in two years, or in four, or in six, if Obama wins a second term. She might decide, when her children are older, that she wants to roll up her sleeves and dig in her heels and use her Harvard law degree to do something more than host parties and pick out dishes. And what’s so great about the job of First Lady, is that she can. Go back and read the first part of this post again – the part about the husband and the wife – and this time, ask yourself this: which one of them really has the dream job? "

What A Week!
Wow back at work finally! On Wendsday I got a call from daycare about noon Nat had a stomach bug so I picked her up she seemed fine that night so I planned on going back to work then Nevaeh started throwing up. (the number one thing that terrorizes me about being a mother) . Uhhh and by Friday it was full fledged virus time at my house. That night Nic came to our rescue with bleach , pedialyte, groceries and every single thing he could find to nurse us all back to health and in the process caught the worst of it. So three trips to the ER and its Tuesday im back at work exhausted and Nic is probably on quarters for the next few days he was still miserable even last night.
Goodnews despite being sick etc. I took my midterm for Kinesiology and got an 80 !!! yay congrats to me :) Maybe I will celebrate with some wine this comming weekend.
So its also inauguration day the first day in office for President Obama. What does that mean for me? A democrat in office again, a minority at that. Does it mean that just maybe my kids will have healthcare after thier dad gets out of the military or will I just build a mountain of medical bills that will drain any opportunity to save my childrens college education. Does it mean less deployments for our military or does it just mean Nic will deploy to Afghanistan and not Iraq? but will it be for 6 , 12, 0r 18 months.
Also today is a historical day for me lol for those that know me its personal :) but wonderful and really very liberating. But one small vent when I was a military wife I was never informed of my resources! the marriage seminars did not exist or maybe my ex just made sure I never found out about them. When I look back at the failure known as my marriage, If I could do it all over again it sure would have been different. I would have gotten married for love and being in love not just because the army said we cant live off post. If I were to be a military wife again I would make sure to be involved and informed and utilize all of our resources to their full extent weekend seminars, balls I mean what girls doesn't like getting dressed up.
A lesson I have learned through this experience is no one can complete you a relationship is based on two whole people who can be themselves with eachother. Laugh when something is funny and hold them when they are sick. A partner should complement you not supplement you. And most definitely not be revolved solely on going to bars and getting hammered.
I have read a million books on marriage and saving relationships but I must say my first was doomed from the start. I feel relieved to be free from the emotional drain of being in a failing marriage to the freedom to accept real love even if that means re-evaluating even my current relationship and adapting to the different situations.

Six Months
So last night I drove myself crazy trying to figure out why is it I feel so guilty when I spend anything on myself.
And started taking inventory... in the past 6 months I have gotten exactly one horrible haircut which I could not afford to get fixed. I have bought 2 dresses and maybe 2 shirts a no shoes for myself. I was given for X-mas a gift card to Maurices and bought myself one sweater , a dress, and a tank top. No jeans because it had been so long since I had bought a pair that I dont even know what size I am anymore.
Wow now that is a depressing accomplishment.

Best Advice of My Life
So the best advice I have ever recieved. Get divorced before you get married again if ever. LOL isnt that the truth ! You get to know the ugly, you divide whats mine , yours, and ours.
Kind of sounds like a pre nup huh?! maybe pre marital counseling lol
But still no doubt this was the best advice I have ever heard.

The Best
Trend PEEVES
Ok so im going to rant on about these "so called trends". I by no means am all into style these days I can barely shop at walmart lol the sacrifices of motherhood. So while home in NY on winter break I noticed about 5 million pairs of UGGs pounding the streets. I must say those damn things while they may be comfortable are UGLY ! No girl should be seen in those things unless its snowing in antartica and you live there.
#2 The whole jet black hair with a purple streak WTF people we dont live in a movie if your tryin to stand out im sorry but every one and thier momma is doing that in NY.
There was one more but I forgot

So in this episode
So in this epiode of my life I decided to give in and do this PCI thing even though I have to take out loans. Oh well i would have to do it no mater where or when I go to school and at least this way I can have a decent job that is portable within a year. So that I might actually be able to raise my children instead of having daycare do it for me.
So yes my experience going back to school has been tougher than I thought. I am totally exhausted but it feels nice to be working my brain again. So I only have to attend in person twice a week but when you are there its like intensive learning about 40 min from home for a couple hours. So twice a week now the girls and I don't get home until about 11pm. I dont study on those nights. Then during the non class days we hit the gym for an hour or two depends on my energy level which I am hoping will go up once I have the thyroid thing fully checked out. Then head home try and spend some time together and then its bedtime for the little ladies and study time for me. And on the weekends take my quizzes.
Their Bio dad is still no where to be seen which is a major relief. I set up times for him to see them and he stands them up. That just proves to us he is no good and we are better off without him.

My Own Two Cents...
On the ideal supermom AKA the mom who someway somehow has the time to work a fulltime job, juggle and shuttle1-2- 3-4 kids to and from school and afterschool activities, send kids off to school with hot breakfast in thier bellies, pack lunches, cook dinner, hit the gym 5 days, have an immaculate house and still keep her husband happy, while still taking classes to keep up her job skills.
Oh man Im talking some serious Adderall addictions way back when. I have no clue how my own mother did it ! Two kids , a husband, school , work , a house, and with all of that going on she still survived breast cancer! Surgery Chemo and all that came with it. Of course my dad allowed her the ability to be a stay at home mom and full time student when needed, But I still remember the days we shopped for her wigs, when she had to shave her head of amazing gorgeous full wavy waist length hair , and when we shopped for her suits for when she entered the work force when I was in third grade and her dad passed away and a month later my dads father passed away from the same heart disease in thier early 60's!
So in thinking of all of this I have been realizing my lack of energy is it just natural aging? or is there something wrong with me. Well turns out I am having a thyroid issue oh well further testing to be done on friday . Yay me and I get to make my attempt at being a supermom lol with possible health issues :(
What more am I thinking about I feel so bad for the one mom on Biggest Loser Vicky who was obviously dealing with most moms struggle to either work and be fit or be with her children I have the very same struggle minus a husband and my kids are toddlers. I would love to work 25 hrs a week and have the time to make breakfast and lunches and keep ,my house clean lol with the fanstasy of having a husband to give me a break at the end of the day and cook dinner or help with baths. Wow in the past I was soo made to feel like poop by my ex husband that I did not realize the potential I had. Lol gone are the days of havign to have dinner on the tv tray watching football at 5 pm everynight and still getting yelled at because the house was not immaculate. I am soo thankful to be I am really happy right now I have the best boyfriend in the world and he helps out in anyway he can, but most days I am on my own to get things done.
I think I am going to declare a second mothers day this year because to be honest moms deserve it! It should be a monthly thing!

Awsome Article in MommyTrackd.com
Beyonce: Lyrics for the Modern Mom.
Actress and singer Beyonce Knowles’ latest hit "If I Were a Boy" is, naturally, a love song. The premise is that men would be more understanding lovers if each did a stint as a woman. The lyrics are haunting and wistful, filled with longing -- to be a boy, and to be better understood as a woman.
If I were a boyEven just for a day I’d put myself first And make the rules as I go
Hearing the song over and over on the radio as I chauffeur my kids to school and sports and the supermarket made me think not about love – but about how juggling career and family would be easier if men and women had a chance to trade places, even just for a day. How would balancing work and family be different if we working mamas were all men?
This is how my lyrics would go (not quite as lyrical as Sasha Fierce, I admit):
If I were a man Bosses would give sick days
When our kids were sick
School holidays would comeWith good childcare plans
Our taxes would pay
For neighborhood childcare centers(We’ve got fire and police stations – why not?)
Judges and politicians making family leave laws
Would have to spend one week aloneTaking care of three or more kids
All by themselves
Parents could bring babies to work
For six months at least
Lactation rooms would have views
As nice as corporate conference rooms
Paternity leave
Would be mandatoryDitto for child support
Working parents would get annual awards
For best juggling acts
Instead of a baby shower when we leave work
We’d get a party when we came back
Economists would spend more time
On the gender pay gap
They’d find a formula -- like the consumer price index
To calculate a stay-at-home mom’s pay grade
My husband would consider laundry, groceries and diapers
Part of his job, not a favor for me
And on Mother’s Day
Instead of crumbs in my bed
I’d get a massage and pedicure
And dinner to eat while it’s still warm
However, despite the unique challenges I’ve faced as a working mom, I’ve never wanted to be a man. I’m with Golda Meir, former prime minister of Israel and mother of two, who famously said:
"It's the men who are discriminated against. They can't bear children. "

The Search for Balance
I have to say I am sick of being a working single mother at least for right now. I feel like I am at a dead end I work full time just to pay our bills and get by. Im at work for 40 hrs and at the gym about 15 hrs because it helps with my energy levels and sleep and overall mental health only problem with that is I never have time to spend with my kids tantrum free time I mean . By the time we get home its about 7pm thats dinner, baths , and bed ! Im sorry but I am venting here comming from being a stay at home mom that when she had kids had planned on working part time and maybe completing my degree online taking a class or two at my pace until the kids are in school and I can begin an actual career, To working 40 hrs and barely havign time to see my kids , keep up my house, maybe a hint of a social life I am freakin exhausted no wonder I starting to have thyroid issues according to my Dr not to mention where in the world am I suppossed to fit in school so that I can advance at to least to more than $8 an hour and spend time with my kids.
Something has to give! I am running myself ragged these days. And to top it off I am considering at least going to school at liek PCI or something maybe get my Personal Trainer Cert cuz that way maybe by the end of the 10 months of school I will be able to cut my hours at work to 35 as a tech aide/ para which I have come to really enjoy being at a school and @ 35 hrs I have benefits , retirement, etc. So then I could earn some $$ at the gym which I go to anyway.
Then maybe I could have fun with my kids and the gigs are portable and expandable. And hey I can always use beign healthy enough cancer runs in my family for me to be obsessed.
Ahh so there you have it I considered giving up life and moving myself and my kids to a dorm in PA so that I could go to school fulltime but im not the 18 yr old kid that can live in a dorm anymore. imagine confining me to less than 500 sq foot 2 room dorm with a shared kitchen and bath. Im sorry but NO THANKS. I cant do it to myself or my kids.
My inspiration lol and I have come to this idea many a times before but never pursued it.
A personal trainer at the gym and I dont even know her name... During my work out I watched her train some bigger lady which I have an odd obsession with the biggest loser and im not even big but by the time I was done and pickin up the girls at the gyms kid corner she came in to pick up her own daughters! That was awesome in maybe 2 hours im sure she made some $$ and her kids right in the same building!! She prolly made in those 2 hours what I make in a full day at work.
And in fantasy land if I ever get married again and have a baby I could be at home and work a few hours here and there and still have a decent income until I make my way back in to the school system again. Ehhh enough of my day dreaming rant I should get back to work ... reading my email to make sure no one is having issues when I really could have just taken this 20 minutes I spent blogging to be doing a class when I go back to school even the PCI thing YAY

Interesting Day !
Just had to post this lol Please dont do this to me !
Hmmm, very interesting way to spend the day....
THIS IS WHY YOU DON'T TAKE MEN TO THE STORE WITH YOU
After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring andpreferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunately, my wife is like most women -- she loved to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from thelocal Target.
Dear Mrs. Samsel,
Over the past six months, your husband has been causing quite acommotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against Mr. Samsel are listedbelow and are documented by our video surveillance cameras.
1. June 15: Took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them inpeople's carts when they weren't looking.
2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at5-minute intervals.
3. July 7: Made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading tothe women's restroom..
4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an officialvoice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away.'
5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag ofM&M's on layaway.
6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area.
7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and toldother shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blanketsfrom the bedding department.
8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he begancrying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?'
9. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and usedit as a mirror while he picked his nose.
10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department,he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were.
11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudlyhumming the 'Mission Impossible' theme.
12.. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels.
13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsedthrough, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!'
14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker,he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' And last, but not least.
15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waitedawhile, and then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.'
